Palencia'a Activities

The Palencia Neighborhood put took a spin on our advent activities.  They are focusing on making ornaments with their kids most days and then adding in a little bit of other things here and there.  They also don't start their activities until December 1.  (Advent starts this year on November 27th.)  I believe most of these ornament/crafts came from Oriental Trading.  There are some cute ideas...

Dec. 1 Nativity Silhouette Foam Ornament

Today is the first day of Advent. Advent means “coming”. For the next 25 days, we will celebrate the “coming” of Jesus.

We are thankful for America and that our soldiers protect us. Today we will send a card to a soldier wishing them a Merry Christmas and telling them that Jesus LOVES them.

Sometimes life doesn’t make sense and we have to make decisions that might feel like we are completing a puzzle. Today as a family, we will complete a puzzle to remind us that anytime we are confused about a choice we should make, we should ask Jesus to help us.
